Current operation

Google Analytics loads only after your consent. Microsoft Clarity loads only after your separate consent to navigation analysis. We offer no form, user account, newsletter or checkout. Calculator inputs stay in your browser.

Browsing and hosting

Page delivery and security require technical information, including IP addresses and request or browser information. The site is prepared for Netlify, which may process this information in its infrastructure and through subprocessors. Declining measurement does not prevent hosting operations.

Optional measurement

Google Analytics may process visited pages, technical details, measurement identifiers and Amazon clicks (ASIN, language, link placement). Clarity may process interactions and generate heatmaps or session recordings. Both purposes have separate choices, off by default; declining does not restrict site access.

Choices and withdrawal

The footer Privacy preferences button lets you change or withdraw consent. Your choice, date and notice version are stored only in this browser for up to six months. A notice version change requires a new choice. Older unversioned approvals are not reused. Withdrawal stops future optional collection; it does not automatically erase previously transmitted data. Contact us about applicable rights over that data.

Emails and requests

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments to respond, correct information or handle a request. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information. You may request access, correction or deletion where applicable and send complaints to the Privacy Officer. Proportionate identity verification may be necessary; we do not routinely require identity documents.

Providers and processing outside the province

Hosting and email may involve processing outside Ontario and Quebec, including the United States depending on the provider. Account-specific locations and retention must be confirmed before finalising launch. We do not claim that data stays in Canada. Contracts, subprocessors and transfers are reviewed as part of our privacy process.

Retention and security

We limit retention to the purpose and applicable obligations. Hosting-log and email retention must still be confirmed with providers; we do not state unverified periods. Privacy preferences expire after six months. We limit access and provide for incident and request handling.

Amazon and other external links

External links lead to services with their own policies. Amazon handles orders and payments; Habitat Mini does not receive your payment details. Current links are not remunerated. Future affiliate activation will be disclosed.
