Interior film may be a seasonal option if the surface and installation fit the instructions and your lease. A box labelled for a number of windows is not a substitute for your own measurements. Never obstruct an emergency-exit window or necessary access.
1. Check the problem and the surface
Distinguish a draft from water ingress and condensation. Film does not repair a leak or the cause of mould. Record the condition of painted surfaces and check what your landlord permits. Read approved-surface and removal instructions before applying tape.
2. Calculate area, then plan the cuts
Measure at the intended attachment points. Three 0.9 × 1.2 m openings total 3.24 m². An illustrative 10% allowance gives 3.564 m², about 3.56 m². Use the manufacturer’s actual edge allowances; this example percentage is not an installation instruction.
3. Area alone does not guarantee a fit
Enough total area does not guarantee that each piece fits. Sketch the cutting layout, including margins, before buying. A sheet listed as 62 × 420 inches has a calculated gross area of about 16.8 m², before waste. That calculation does not establish the quantity in the Amazon pack.
4. Confirm the kit and follow its instructions
Our Duck analysis flags a roll-count mismatch between Amazon and the manufacturer page. Confirm model 287406 and the pack contents. Duck’s standard-kit guide lists a tape measure, scissors and a hair dryer; follow the exact kit instructions. We have not measured energy savings for this product.
